WHAT YOUR LOYALTY EARNS

How trust changes your army

Each order earns its piece +2 trust. A capture adds +5 more. Surviving pieces in your army earn +8 for a victory. Trust caps at 100. A piece’s first reviewed unprotected loss is a warning. Repeats can cost 3 trust, with a maximum of 6 trust lost by your army per battle. Legal recaptures, pieces that already earned their material value, and forced defence are protected. A review is also waived by material compensation, check or promotion in the next two orders. Unresolved reviews are waived when the game ends. Trust never falls below zero.

Trust changes the piece’s dialogue and relationship with you. Every piece follows legal orders at every tier; movement, strength and chess rules stay the same. A battle resigned before any moves awards no victory trust.

Name your pieces. Leave a name blank to restore its default.

Battle replay

Your battle trust totals

Replays never change the live board or award trust.

Your first battle

  1. Select one of your pieces, then a marked square. The keyboard board works too.
  2. Captures shatter the other piece. Drag to rotate; pinch or use + and − to zoom.
  3. You play the AI by default. Open Multiplayer lobby to challenge another commander.
  4. Your pieces remember orders, captures and battles. My army shows trust, memories and customisation.
  5. Repeated games with one person taper trust rewards over 24 hours. Game 13 onward is just for fun.
  6. Optional multiplayer clocks keep running while disconnected. Saved battles restores your seat.

Your data in Stonebound

Stonebound stores your username, salted password hash, hashed session and recovery tokens, army customisation, trust, memories, games, friends and feedback. When email delivery is configured, email addresses are stored for verification and verified recovery.

Cloudflare hosts the game and database. Hosting infrastructure processes connection information. The app uses hashed request identifiers for rate limiting. Operational monitoring stores daily error-category counts for up to 30 days, not passwords, tokens, email addresses or feedback text.

Local browser storage keeps preferences and saved-battle references. HttpOnly cookies keep you signed in. The site also loads fonts from Google Fonts. No advertising trackers are included by the game.

Public-facing information includes your commander name, presence while the lobby is open, and army appearance in shared games. Reports and recovery details are private. If email recovery is enabled, the configured mail provider receives the delivery address and reset message.

Account deletion removes your live account, private army, sessions, email tokens, friendships and reports. Shared battle records are retained for opponents with your commander name anonymised. An account-ID hash and deletion date are retained to prevent restored backups reviving deleted accounts. Older backups can contain earlier data until they expire or are removed. Restores must reapply recorded deletions before reopening the site.

Use Feedback to contact the site owner before deleting your account. You can delete your account from Account. This notice describes the current implementation; it is not a promise of zero data retention by hosting providers.

Permanently delete your account?

This removes your live account, army progress, private history, friends and reports. This cannot be undone through the game. Opponents retain anonymised shared battle records.
